a decent stay, but with a few minor issues

the staff were friendly. the breakfast buffet was excellent with super attentive staff. my room faced an internal courtyard and it was quiet even given the city center location.
the ac in my room was not working properly, even after it was supposedly fixed. it kept defaulting back to 22c after a few seconds of changing the temperature. the fire alarm went off one morning at 3:15am, causing the building to be evacuated. the rubber seal in the sink plug in the bathroom was missing, and the water drained away even with the plug in.

The air conditioning wasn't working well, this made the room very warm. The temperature control in the room also didn't seem to be effective.

My room was a good size. i found it was clean. the staff were efficient and very pleasant too. The best thing about my stay. breakfast was fine also.
My room was basic. The bathroom tiles were grubby. the grout was also loose and sharp! this is listed as 4 star but i would say it's 2 or 3.

The room size was excellent. Beds and bedding were super comfy. The location is central, very close to shops. I found the cleanliness very good throughout the hotel. (The staff were helpful.).
Finding the place using the postcode directed me to the bus station and through a bus-only lane, I'm waiting for a ticket.

Breakfast was decent and it was good it was served until 11am at weekends.
The air conditioning did not work. I had to have the window open. There was very loud music until 2 a.m. from a pub across the road. Then banging from deliveries occurred all through the night. I got no sleep.
